About Coast to Coast

Our Vision

Our vision is a world Beyond Kids Cancer. As Canada’s leading national charity devoted to fighting childhood cancer, Coast To Coast Against Cancer ensures 100% of receipted donations are invested in improving the survival rate and quality of life of children and their families impacted by cancer.

We raise funds by conducting a series of high quality, memorable, physically challenging, national and regional events that encourage active and healthy lifestyles and engage sponsors, participants, donors and volunteers. From cycling rides to team-building activities, we raise needed funding for worthy childhood cancer charities whose programs support children with cancer and their families.

Where the Money Goes

Since its inception in 2003, Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation has conducted events across Canada; motivating participants, inspiring onlookers and raising hope for children with cancer and their families.

Funds raised from our events distributed to more than fifty childhood cancer organizations all across Canada. These organizations are making a difference for children with cancer: hospitals care for children and conduct research into new treatments and cures for childhood cancer; the childhood cancer camps help kids and their families forget what they’re going through and enjoy just being a kid again; and many organizations that provide the support programs, including financial, to help families when their children are fighting cancer.

Making a Difference for Our Heroes

Meet Vincent

Vincent Moore Guiney is one of our incredible Child Ambassadors, one of thousands of children affected by cancer in Canada. Vincent was diagnosed in 2008.

cutie“We went to Credit Valley Hospital with what we thought was a crazy bad virus and we ended up leaving The Hospital for Sick Children almost a year later .Vincent had been diagnosed with Medulla Blastoma ,a brain tumour. He had brain surgery almost immediately, followed by 37 radiation and four high dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. He also contracted Meningitis during the treatment of Cancer. It was an extremely difficult time but Sick Kids made it better to endure,it’s really the best place you never want to be. Thank God for SickKids Hospital.“

Vincent’s message to other kids undergoing treatment is simple “fight cancer and be brave.”

Follow Vincent’s story and the great progress he is making as we continue our journey as Heroes together to support children just like him in their fight against cancer.
